Metal structure dealers has become a huge industry which therefore increases the competition for dealers but can be a huge hassle for the customer. Doing your research and asking the following questions is so important.
1. Do you service my area? Dealers claim to be nationwide but in all actuality the dealer may have limitations in your state.
2. How long have you been in business? How many years the company has been in business will provide you with their experience and if they are truly capable of meeting your needs.
3. Where is your office? Can I actually come see you? A reliable dealer will have a real office at a location that you can actually see and walk-in to meet the team or your representative.
4. Are you registered with the BBB and/or your local Chamber of Commerce? The BBB is the voice for the consumers as is the local Chamber of Commerce. The information that this question can supply is ......
Is this a legitimate company?
What is the company rating?
What are the reviews for this company?
Do they have any unresolved complaints?
5. Can your company provide me with any requested drawing / calculations and help guide me to what or where I need to contact for any required permit(s)? The metal building manufacturer should be able to provide any engineered drawings requested drawing / calculations usually for an additional fee. But, while do dealer can provide you with the required permits, they should be able to guide you initially on where to reach out to obtain the permit(s).
6. Are you providing me with the best price and are you sure your company is able to meet my needs and just not trying to sell a product? Sometimes dealers have discounts that can be applied to your purchase when available. Also, verify from the dealer that they are stating they can meet your needs and provide you a quality structure.
